Stay Safer with Sa'Fire

All About Sa'Fire

Why Sa'Fire happened

Sa’Fire is a company based in Southern California, where there is little rain. This product is vital for saving lives when it comes to the valley's dry seasons. Each year, around 358,000 house fires occur. With this, around 90 firefighters die each year while on duty. A tragedy occurred close to home in Porterville, California, where two firemen bravely and willingly entered the raging fire of a burning library. Little did they know there were no lives left to be saved, leading to the loss of their own lives. This is what inspired our company Sa’Fire.

What is Sa'Fire

Sa’Fire not only helps fire departments locate people and save critical time but also can be utilized to help save the lives of many firefighters. Sa’Fire is a life-saving innovation that combines traditional smoke detectors with advanced thermal sensors. When activated, Sa’Fire safely and efficiently pinpoints the exact location of human heat signatures in the room allowing firefighters to save those trapped from the burning building. Sa'Fire is a device that enhances smoke detectors with thermal camera technology to aid in saving lives. Sa’Fire uses thermo technology to detect high levels of smoke and heat to safely locate individuals in the case of a fire through a series of screening systems. Sa’Fire is an attachment installed directly to the smoke alarm system in people's homes, schools, and businesses.

How to help the victims of the
Los Angeles wildfires

California Wildfires: What we know

Fires across the Los Angeles area have killed at least 25 people, destroyed more than 12,000 structures, and charred more than 60 square miles. At one point, close to 200,000 people were under evacuation orders as crews tried to battle back the fires. Tens of thousands of people in Los Angeles County remain in evacuation warning zones. The fires have destroyed entire neighborhoods and blocks, leaving an unknown number of people homeless.

FEMA's deadline to apply for assistance is March 10

The deadline for people affected by the Los Angeles-area fires to apply for FEMA assistance is March 10.

People can apply after filing a claim with their insurance company. Applications can be made by phone at 800-621-3362 or by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov.

"If you need additional support or would like help uploading documents, you should visit a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to apply for assistance and learn about resources from FEMA and other state organizations to aid you in your recovery," FEMA says. Two DRCs were opened in Los Angeles County and more are expected to open soon.
